I feel as if this post is long overdue. I’ve been following the Lettering versus Calligraphy blog for quite some time but somehow haven’t made it back here to blog about it. Lettering versus Calligraphy is a fun project where lettering artist Martina Flor and calligrapher Giuseppe Salerno write or draw out a letter using a keyword given to them by a moderator. Sometimes there are different artists featured as well.  The battle comes to full fruition as each participant’s work is posted online and visitors can vote on which one they like best. If that isn’t enough, you can also purchase prints of the each submission via their Etsy shop. In my earlier days of subscribing, I found myself leaning more towards Giuseppe’s work; but now, I’m enjoying more of Martina’s take on the letters. Check out a few of my favorites below!
