Happy Monday! It’s been a crazy weekend of rearranging things and trying to recover (spoiler alert: I haven’t). However, today’s post is tons of fun because I was tagged by the lovely Kristyn of Milk & Crown to do a Now & Then feature.
I’m excited to take a part in this feature. Not only because I love 90’s nostalgia but I was blogging for most of the time in my “then” feature so although much has changed, nothing really has changed in terms of my career goals. Let’s share some things!
So as you can see I’m still pretty boring and basically the same in some ways. The picture above is from my 2008 Gravatar so I’ve been blogging for way too long. Â I am responsible for tagging so I tag: Kimberly, Hyemi, and Allyssa. If you’d love to do this yourself, feel free to! It was a fun blast from the past.
loving reading these!! that’s so great that you’ve been blogging for that long and how awesome to see it grow and expand from that time!! i totally forgot about the hills, i LOVED that show! and laguna beach! oh dear hahaha
The Hills was my life in high school. Ugh Speidi, Kristen, Whitney…so many great characters for the teenage girl to be obsessed over lol
2008 seems like centuries ago! I only remember spending three years bouncing from name to name and never settling on a singular idea. I don’t think you’ve changed much over the years but I will say that I have loved watching you grow and become this woman you didn’t know you could be. And I thank you for introducing me to Fefe Dobson!
I know! Outside of my husband, you’re my oldest reader <3 Thank you dear!
I love this! Thanks for tagging me!
Thanks Allyssa!
I love how for attitude, you were determined and now your driven; similar words, but so much more powerful meaning in the latter! Kudos to you!
p.s. Liking your dreams and life plans! I too wanted to become a doctor, but switched my mind during college when chemistry was so not for me. It’s wonderfully funny how time and the attitude within us seek our true passions. Wishing you a lovely day!
Thank you so much Akshara for stopping by! I had big plans to become a neurologist and now I’m a designer lol such a big difference.
I must say that I absolutely ADORE your 2008 photo. So cute!
I had very similar life plans, except for the doctor part. Noooooooo. 🙂
And I can’t believe you’re only 22. Holy cow!!!
haha no I’m 23. I totally saw that and changed it because I’ll be 24 in April. Yikes! Blogging while sick is a big no no.
I’ve seen this series going around the blogosphere- I love it! It’s so amazing that you’ve been blogging since 2008.
It’s such a fun series! Glad I got to take part in it. 🙂
ooooh fun idea. funny how some things change so drastically and others don’t at all.
I know. I still think I have the same core values but with a lot more understanding and wisdom from some hard life experiences. Thank you for stopping by KT!
Hey, you’re not boring at all! I think it’s awesome that you’ve kept up blogging for so long – you should be proud of that. I have a feeling that “then” you & “then” me would have gotten along like a house on fire 🙂
haha a great bestie opportunity was missed! lol I’m boring but I’m ok with that!
I just love reading these now and then’s! Love nostalgia and going down memory lane! So great getting to know you better, Angel! My fave show is Parenthood, and I really have to check out that book, Moloka’i!
Moloka’i was such a quick but good read. I liked the way it explained the history and the unfair treatment of the lepers. You’d like it I think!
It’s such a beautiful island – you should visit there one day!!
I hope I will! Maybe on my next trip to the islands because I definitely plan on going back soon.
Wow I’d love to do this! It might require serious thinking back to the past!
Thanks for tagging me Angel 🙂 I hope to post mine soon.
PS. Brooklyn nine nine is one of my fav show currently too!
🙂 Yay! It’s so funny. Oh man, I laugh so much watching that show.
Such a fun blog post! Love the now and then. And the “never get married” one made me laugh hard. Same attitude here, yet we ended up married with some pretty good guys. 🙂
We ended up with serious comic book nerds ;P But they’re lovely gentlemen.
I loved reading this! I always find these little series so fun! It’s amazing that you have been blogging so long! Good to learn more about you!
Thank you Emma!
This is so fun! + I felt like I got to know you better too. I’ll work on replying for next week. 🙂
Oh yay! Looking forward to seeing your post. 🙂
Oh my goodness, so “The Hills” was such a guilty pleasure. I literally still own the seasons on DVD.
I tried to watch it a few months ago on Netflix and I couldn’t. I will always have my memories of being in love with it as a kid.
Hey! I listened to FeFe, too! I love this series. It’s such a fun way to get to know everyone! 🙂
I know like five other people who’ve even heard of Fefe Dobson! How cool! I was a huge Fefe fan lol it was pretty bad.
So much fun reading this! Don’t forget us when you get your Target line going! And that graphic is awesome by the way 🙂 love all your branded posts
Haha a girl can dream 😛 Maybe some day. Thank you so much Celestine! You’re so sweet.
