I have completed the theme as promised. Last week I was completely sick and tired. I just sat around on Twitter for the majority of the day. I have had the flu and the beginning of last week was no good for me. By the middle of the week I was better; but with the strange temperature drops, I couldn’t do much then either. Finally Florida decided to love me and warm up on Saturday. I got a lot of coding done and finished up last night.
To other people this theme probably looks exactly like everything else I’ve done. Quite frankly, it does to a degree. Most of the design work was done with the coding. For probably the second time in me using WordPress, I have valid CSS! That doesn’t say much when your XHTML is full of errors but whatever. I’ve done something right in my eyes.
I love having an organized footer for once. It took a while for me to actually “get it” the way I wanted it to look. Especially the tags, which I later found the Simple Tags plugin. It’s a great help and it’s fun to use in the WP-Admin as well.
For those who don’t know, I code my themes all from scratch. I’ve never used a base template or base theme. I just take my time making 1,001 mistakes before I learn how to do things properly. I’ll probably be posting a lot today because a lot of things have inspired me. I just wanted to show off my new layout properly. Well damn, let me find out that you’re a wordpress theme coding wiz. I know I use those little templates, but I get bored quickly and distracted easily. I’m working on a new theme myself. Let me tell you that it’s murder trying to do a whole new theme without my old laptop. It’s going to look crappy.

I just redid my about me page really. Added some pictures to my photo gallery and to my screenshots. I haven’t really changed anything yet because I’m undecided as to what I will and will not keep. I’m still in the process of a major reconstruction.
I understand what you mean. I’m in the process of figuring how I’m going to reconstruct my site. I’ve been focused on this damn theme lately though.
