Welcome Back!

Good afternoon and welcome back to the new Static-Romance.Org. If this is your first time visiting, welcome! This blog has been on hiatus for over a year and it has been in re-development for the past two months. I have finally been able to dedicate enough free time to get it back up and running. It is just in time as I am also developing my first stationery design studio, Static-Romance Stationery.

What is Static-Romance?

Static-Romance is an inspiration blog solely focused on sharing graphic design, photography, interior design, web design, fashion design, and other life inspiration. The site originally opened on December 28, 2006. Although this site has been a home for many different elements, it has always been a place to share inspiration.  It has been my blog home to share my journey throughout my career as a freelance graphic designer and web developer.

Who am I?

My name is Angel Y. I am a twenty-one year-old freelance graphic designer and web developer who currently resides in Disney’s backyard Orlando, Florida. I have been married for almost two years to my husband who is also a graphic designer and web developer. We both own, Sevenality, a small web design studio that has been operating for over two years. During the day, we both work as in-house designers for two different companies. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I moved to central Florida almost three years ago. I am also a proud crazy cat lady. I adopted my first rescue kitten, Kitsu, earlier this year. This isn’t a cat blog I swear!

 

Where did you go exactly?

I began working my first full-time job almost two years ago. During the process of moving into our first apartment together and adopting a social life, I had no time to dedicate to my blog. I was managing a marriage, new friends, new responsibilities and I just did not have time. Although I maintained a steady presence on my Tumblr account, I was no longer able to dedicate the time to managing a full-time blog. As my design life began to pick up, I began to feel out of touch with my online presence. It is difficult to work in a field where you spend all of your time online but not doing the things you enjoy. I have always been a blogger at heart. I just needed time to work through the end of my teenage years and moving into the steady pace of adulthood.

What is to come?

Static-Romance will be a place to share and connect with independent artists. I am very excited about blogging as an adult. With many projects and social gatherings to come, I will have plenty of my own design work to share with you. You can browse the archives to get the idea of what things were like. I will share lots of inspirational typography, photography, graphic design, interior design, and more! There is only amazing things in store so please stick around. I hope you will enjoy yourself.
