Quote Inspiration: Jeffery Veen

Have you ever read something that instantly caused a shift in your thinking? We’ve been talking about the way we run our business for the past two years. We have taken on projects we felt passionate about. We’ve been burned. We’ve been inspired. Design is a tough business. Web design and development are tougher. Branding strategy has been one of the hardest we’ve tackled; but it is our passion. If you’ve ever wondered why my inspiration blog is design focused, it’s because it is what I do. I’m sure it is quite obnoxious but I live, breathe, and most days, overwhelm myself in design. This blog is just a tiny aspect of what I am passionate about and on October 1st, some things will change.

Jeffery Veen, CEO and co-founder of Typekit, was interviewed over on The Great Discontent and like most of the design greats who have shared their story, it made sense. There are clients who make it hard to enjoy this industry and sometimes it’s because the solutions we offer aren’t always designed to fit what they are truly searching for. I haven’t been providing solutions in my career that I have been searching for. I wear many hats and do a million different things; but for the next six months, my focus will be making my products successful. Through my journey towards Studio 404, I hope you join me in making this blog a place that showcases inspiration that I am passionate about.
