I really wanted to go to a design event during summertime but since none of my friends are interested in design I chickened out and end up not going, telling myself how I will once UNI starts and I meet people who are interested in it as well. While reading your post about how easier it is to go with someone you know, it made me feel less &quot;guilty&quot; for not going by myself. Thanks! :)]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[these tips are SO GOOD. there are so many benefits to connecting locally, even if it isn&#039;t your main client base. i work with clients from all over but have made some amazing connections with local creatives that have lead to new work and exposure. i think my favorite tips from this are to be genuine (networking is totally more effective if you make it about legitimate, honest, human connection) and to not overwhelm yourself - networking burnout is real! sometimes it&#039;s nice to just take a break and connect with others via twitter from your couch instead of going to an event :)]]></description>
